Happy Easter

So today is a day about some dude coming back to life and bunnies. So this is what I got out of it...

Total Nonstop Action

  • Nov. 15th, 2008 at 5:13 PM

Things have finally calm down a bit for now it seems like. It's been a whirlwind of adventure lately though. It all started with me and Jasyn driving down to Portland for a wrestling show. The next night went saw a wrestling show in Seattle. Highlight of the Portland trip besides a cool ladder match was Voodoo Donuts, both strange and delicious.

From there we went to see Weezer the same week. That was a strange time but still a good show. They had some crappy band with one of the Blink 182 guys opening for them though.

Of course we did some Halloween type stuff too, carving pumpkins, going to the Field of Screams in Snohomish. Brill and I both bought some sweet luchadore masks at Pike's Place too for Halloween. As soon as we got them though Jasyn made us strut around with them on in a park next to the market while he took some photos. The cops who were riding the bikes by (just like in Pacific Blue) seemed to think we were suspicious and kept riding by us.

Then the real adventure started though as we flew to Los Angles. The plane trip was way more fun then it should of been since we flew on Virgin Airlines. It had some purple and blue mood lighting in it and an amazing entertainment experience from music to movies to Bill Clinton to chatting from seat to seat. When we got to LA we drove around and got some Carl's Jr. before settling down for the night. The next day we aquired Byron and Ashley for Devil's Night. We saw some cool Swedish movie, Let the Right One In, before driving around the Hollywood Hills looking for a party. We of course found a party too and after we dropped Courtney and Ashley off we tried to go back but by then the party was over so we couldn't crash it. Instead we cruised the city and saw some girl standing, lifting her skirt up and trying to pee standing up on the sidewalk.

The next night was Halloween in South Central where God Module was playing at Das Bunker. As soon as we found the club though Brill and I had to go drive around looking for some decorations for the stage in South Central, which really isn't that scary. When we got back we set-up the merch table, the first time we did it the table mysterious snapped in half... So we started over and Brill and myself sold t-shirts while the band got ready. The show was good and there were some cool costumes. Brill dancing with a crazy mask and ripped up suit coat was the best part in my opinion. It was creepy and wrong but had the Brill charm we all know and love.

On the way home from the club I was driving and we needed some Carls Jr. once more. As we were waiting for our food though we saw some weird drunk dirty lady in all white looking at the car in front of us with her hand in her pants. As soon as they drove off she looked at us and said really quick "Give me some food" and before we could even react she yelled out "God damn sea devils" and was off down the street yelling about the sea devils.

Next night we ended up at Universal for Halloween Horror Nights. It was pretty cool, good mazes and rides.

Then we flew back to Seattle and the next day Courtney, Brill and I all went to see Electric Six. Of course it couldn't end there the next day, Election Day, Erik and Erica had their twins, Connor and Mina. Then last night we saw James Bond and tonight is the double birthday bash for Byron and myself. So we've been busy and now in a week and a half I'll be in Florida. So the excitment never ends.

Journey

  • Oct. 2nd, 2008 at 2:29 AM

I was randomly looking at the current top songs on iTunes, which of course had a bunch of crap on it. All of it was newer songs then right near the end at number 88 in the middle of Pussycat Dolls, Kanye West, 3 Doors Down, T-Pain and all that crap was "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey. The song can't be stopped...

Weekend in the Land of Denver

  • Jun. 2nd, 2008 at 1:49 AM

So this is a bit late since it is a week later almost but I don't give a damn, damnit! So last weekend was an amazing adventure full of fright, love, adventure and of course Burger King. Our journey began in a car, we loaded it up full of all the God Mod gear and headed down to beautiful Seatac for the Crypticon... Whatever that means. We got there, checked in, parked the car and all that jazz before heading into Seattle's first horror convention. In fact it was my first horror convention too and it was... tiny. It was a little room with some booths around it and some cool people from various horror films hanging about signing autographs. Bill Mosley was there, he was super nice and took some pictures with all of us. Then Jasyn and I got to meet "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who was a sweet old man who probably had no idea where he was. He kept forgetting things and has obviously been hit in the head too many times. But if anyone else had battled Mr. T they would end up the same way. The other highlight was seeing that ugly kid from the awful Halloween remake by Rob Zombie playing Guitar Hero 3 and being awful at it. I wanted to mock him but I'm sure he gets enough of that for being a freak mixed with Piglet... A freaklet?

Then we went to walk around a bit to kill some time, of course going to grab some food at Burger King which was having the Indiana Jones scratch game. What we learned from this is if you have a Shia LeBoeuf one that you better scratch the left side or you will lose and if it is any other character the right side is the way to go. After that The God Modules went up to the hotel to prepare for their up coming Crypticon debut while Brill and I hung around downstairs selling some merch. During the whole show the room probably had a max of 40 people in it at most, including bartenders and people from the bands. Jasyn, Byron and Courtney still did a solid job though even though it was a giant room with nobody in it. It was cool though since Lynn from work dropped by and watched too. The other people who said they would show up were mysteriously not there which is just plain rude. After the band played we took everything off stage and hung out for a bit. After some time passed Jasyn naturally wanted his money but the guy was nowhere to be found so we sent out Byron. When he found him though the guy in charge only had $100 of the promised sum making him one of the world's biggest douche bags. He of course said he'd pay the rest but we'll see... Maybe if he can afford to do it next year he'll end up with a face full of piss when he least expects it.

After the show it was around 1:00am so we went to our room and I made a delicious bed out of a chair, a footrest and a rolly desk chair for bed. We went to sleep for about 2 hours before waking up to go to the airport to catch our 6:00am flight. After a bit of running around the airport we go on our plan to Denver, thankfully the plane was pretty empty so we call go to spread out and sleep for another hour or so before landing.

Once in Denver we went in a bus to get our rental car. As I was sitting there in a half-awake daze I thought the guy at the end of the bus looked familiar. So first I noticed he had a big gold ring on, the same one that Roddy Piper had on. Then I noticed he had a WWE hat on too and a big moustache, giant chin and crazy looking body... He was of course Sgt. Slaughter sitting on the same van to go rent a Budget car. We didn't have the courage to talk to him though, we didn't want to disturb him so early in the morning. After that excitment though we got an even bigger suprise as Jasyn and Byron rolled up to pick us up in a Uplander! You heard my right folks, a fuckin' Uplander. So we climbed aboard our pimpin' brown mini-van and headed into the city. Now the path we took to the hotel drove us through the ghetto-ish part of town but there was nobody on the streets barely and the people we could see were just asleep in parks. The town seemed like a ghost town, which it did nearly the whole trip. Before going to our hotel though we thought we needed some Arby's so we stopped by and grabbed some delicious food for our first meal in Denver.

We got to our luxury hotel, checked in and went up to our room where we slept once more for a few hours before heading to The Church for the next show. We arrived in a stinky alley way and loaded all the stuff in. When we got to the door though this lady wanted me and Ashley to pay to get in. What is that? She obviously had no idea who we were and after a bit of talking we got in without paying. We then walked around the Dark Arts festival, checking out the various crafts before Jasyn and everyone had to prepare for another show and I sat down to sell merch as Ashely did their make-up. Of course selling t-shirts and CDs seems easy but then when a giant Polish woman gets on stage while a bunch of weird cross-dressing belly dancers convulse in front of you... It makes it nearly unbearable. This is also when I realized that Denver is the worst looking city I've ever been to. I was looking forward to checking out girls but they were all scary in a bad way. Once the Polish lady was over though God Module once again got on stage. I helped bring their stuff on stage and it was hot as hell up there. Tons of lights blasting down on you makes things heat up... I'm not sure how they do it and still dance around so much. This show was way cooler though, the room was pretty full and everyone seemed really into it, plus I could see the stage from where I was sitting.

After the show we had to take everytime down super fast since Hip-Hop night was coming and the whole Dark Arts festival had to go in the basement. While we were doing this though the giant Polish woman came back and she was hungry... Hungry for Courtney. This strange lady wanted them to play in Poland with her in a castle and she kept hugging Courtney and saying odd things to her. Thankfully we had to load the car but that Polish lady kept coming back over and over for Courtney. Even now I think she is waiting outside their apartment for a glimpse of Courtney. After everything was loaded we went to the VIP room where pizza, vodka, Code Red, and Coke Zero was waiting for us. We had some drinks before Jasyn heard a Cure song that made him want to dance. So after watching him do an odd bunny dance we went to the club part where the line for drinks was ridiculious yet still we got them. We just hung out and talked for awhile, trying to stay late so Jasyn could sing "I Ran" with some odd band at midnight. During this wait though Byron and Ashely got very drunk, fought a bit then wanted to run back to the VIP room to have sex but the bartender stopped them while the rest of us just watched and laughed. Sadly the band never got to play so Jasyn was free from having to perform and we headed home, but of course I was the only sober one so I drove but first we had to stop at... Burger King! Which meant more Indiana Jones scratch game! I of course had no idea how to navigate Denver so we drove around confused for awhile before I finally got to our hotel.

After a long sleep we woke up and headed across the street from our hotel to Bubba Gump shrimp. We all remembered it being good when we went there in San Francisco but our experience in Denver wasn't very positive which may be due to the fact that Denver is in the middle of the mountains while San Francisco is on the water. After a disappointing meal Courtney, Jason and myself headed off to Raw is War at the Pepsi Center. We first battled through the t-shirt stand, getting a shirt for myself, Courtney and one for Emily as a present for watching Sam. Then we got our seats and enjoyed some Raw. It was a pretty good show, if we watched on TV it probably wouldn't of been great but being there was fun either way. Before we left the hotel guy told us it was hard to get a cab home from the Pepsie Center and he was very right. We walked a bit towards a trolley we heard about but after getting a bit away from the arena in the rain we finally found a cab and got back to our hotel. Of course we were hungry again and headed in the car to find food. We got some Taco Bell but Taco Bell drinks are gross so we went across to Burger King where the guy was the second total douche bag of our trip. He handed Jasyn the drinks and let go before Jasyn had them and spilled them everywhere. We thought Jasyn was going to grab him by the shirt and slam his head into the window but he resisted sadly. We got our food though and had a nice meal in our hotel room.

The next day, our last day in Denver, we got up and headed to the "Goth" block. Which was one shop really that was alright but nobody got much. We then headed to Cracker Barrel, which was the best meal of the trip plus it was cheap and we got to go to the country store too. It was fun since I haven't gotten to go to one since moving back to Washington where there is no such thing as Cracker Barrel. After our yummy food we searched for Mile High Comics, which after a few phone calls we found. It was a really cool store with tons of graphic novels and some weird old toys from the 80's and 90's which were fun to look at. I bought a few things then realized they were all 20% off and then ran back in to buy a bit more. I got a bunch of comics, so did Jasyn and Ashley got some wacky stuff like a Wolverine bracelet. We then jumped back in our Uplander and headed to the airport.

On the plane back it was packed so Jasyn, Court and I all shared a row, which was pretty darned cramped. We made it though back to Seattle and waiting for us was Emily and beautiful Mike Brill. We loaded up again and headed back to Bothell.

It was a fun trip for sure and I'm thankful for them letting me go on their mini-tour too. We had alot of fast food, saw some wrestling, had some laughs and all that jazz. I'm looking forward to our next journey too now that this one is over.

Emerald City ComicCon

  • May. 19th, 2008 at 8:20 PM

So the Emerald City ComicCon has come and gone once again. It was pretty sweet this year too. It started off with me planning on going pretty early but then I left around noon instead with Brill by my side. This year it was at the Seattle Convention Center instead of the Qwest Field center so that made it much nicer to go to mostly. The one problem was the parking which was in a weird parking garage which had dead ends in it so you had to turn around over and over.

Finally we got inside and went right into a panel with Tim Sale. It was pretty fun to hear him talk about all kinds of stuff from how he works to Heroes to his new Captain America book. Of course they announced that Tim Sale: Black & White is coming out once again in a new bigger, better version, which always happens when I buy something. From there we got some food and wandered until we went to the Jamie Bamber panel just for the heck of it. I couldn't resist a charming Englishman who is on a space show. Once he was through talking about various things we wandered a bit more. It was Brill's first Con and I think he enjoyed it too. I ran into Ron, Susan and Rich too which is always awesome. They had a nice table with tons of books on it, making me feel lazy as usual. First day I didn't buy much but then we went back on Sunday, this time I went with Jason, Courtney, Bryon and Ashley. Byron and Ashley dressed like 1920's swing dancers for Jamie Bamber. On Sunday I bumped into Ziggy, who had a booth and he flew in from New Jersey for the Con. It was cool seeing him, he had a few books for sale but he didn't make me feel lazy since he said he only does one 16 page book a year pretty much.

I bought some random books throughout the day, talked to Andy Ruton awhile, Tim Sale for a bit too and Greg Rucka, all of them were super nice guys. I also got a sweet Superfriends Aquaman statue for no reason, it was just calling out to me. There wasn't much stuff to buy it seemed like or at least stuff I wanted but overall it was still alot of fun. Next year maybe I can get Brian or Kyle to fly out and we can get our own table.

Peeps

  • Mar. 27th, 2008 at 2:02 AM

So Easter was a few days ago and of course one of the main features of the holiday is candy. Now I'm not sure how Jesus Christ coming back to life and haunting the living has anything to do with candy or bunnies or eggs or baskets or anything else but whatever floats people's boats is cool with me. Now I got a lovely basket of candy from the very kind, Ashley. So I start to look through it and I find Peeps. Of course when you find Peeps you get excited because part of your brains always tricks you and tells you that they are delicious. So I pull the package open and pop one of these bizarre yellow treats into my mouth. Instantly I regret this choice as Stuart would say "It's not time for that now," and I quickly swallowed the little bugger down. First off they just don't taste good, the weird sugar is always kind of hard and jagged feeling. Second off they feel disgusting inside your mouth. Third off they are just marshmellow covered in sugar yet they somehow are awful. How does that happen? Then I flip the package over and I read that one serving of Peeps is four Bunnies (these weren't your classic chicken Peeps.) How the hell could someone consume four of these at one time?

I had more of a rant in my mind but then Jason called me and now I'm not so upset over Peeps. So all I got left is....

Happy Birthday Jason!

Random Ramblings

  • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 10:53 PM

So over the weekend I went with Jason, Courtney, Byron, Ashley and the incomparable Mike Brill to the Necessary Response/ De/vision concert. I totally think Kyle would be into De/vision if he heard them too. It was a pretty fun show even though I didn't really know much of the music. It was the first time Brill has really been to a concert in that sort of scene so it was fun to see him react to it all as well as Bryon's drunken dancing. I was scared from time to time that his pointy shoulders would hit me and cut my flesh open but thankfully I dodged every time they thrusted at me. Also on Saturday we went and saw Diary of the Dead which turned out to suck pretty bad. It seems like a simple enough idea too but they had to go and mess it up with awful characters and dialogue. Not all movies can be charming like There Will Be Blood though which becomes better and better the more time that passes by.

Speaking of things to watch, so Lost so far this season has been amazing. Really exciting, crazy and new twists and turns. The last episode was bad ass too with the adventures of beautiful Sayid. I’m really excited for the rest of the season, I just hope that writer’s strike didn’t mess it up too much and we’ll get a big break between the first eight episodes and the last eight.

So ComicCon 2008 is starting to look like it'll be amazing since Pedro said he's in for sure and Kyle Kershner said he'll be in too. So if that happens then the Fantastic Four will be together again (Pedro, Kyle, Brian and I) and we'll be in top form. Of course I’d be The Thing, Kyle would be The Human Torch, Brian would be Mr. Fantastic and Pedro would be the Invisible Girl but that is just obvious. So with us four plus Jason and Courtney, a possible Emily or Brill, Megan and who knows who else from school it should be a good time no matter what is at the Con itself. I’m getting excited for it already even though it is like six months away still.

I just finished reading all of The Goon which is pretty darn amazing, that Eric Powell can paint and draw pretty damn well. Plus it’s a fun story, lots of zombies, squids, monsters, robots and pretty much everything else you’d need. Now I just need to find something new to get into now.

In other news for some reason Narf has tiny black bugs living with her. I looked online and I saw that hedgehogs get mites but they are white and make the quills fall off the hedgehog which isn’t happening to Narf at all. What are these creatures and where do they come from? The mystery will continue or at least until I can take Narf to a vet to figure it all out. In other animal news Willie came and stayed with us which only increased my wanting of a dog. My mom said she’d donate to the dog fund too so with that and my tax return I shouldn’t have too much problem getting one soon. Who knows what it will look like or what kind it will be but I’ll be sure to post a beautiful picture of this dog when it arrives.

Anyways work is finally over so I am going to leave it at that. So that’s the fishing line because Shark Boy said so.

Feb. 7th, 2008

  • 10:24 PM

Work is going so slow right now, I'm a Floor Support person here now and my team of 14 people is down to four people since the others got to go home early. So really there is nothing going on since these four people are doing their own thing. Thankfully Jason is roaming too so on and off we can chat. Working five days a week instead of just four though is hard, I don't know how people do it. Even though I'm barely working it is still hard to show up day after day after day after day after day.

In other news though I've been playing Mass Effect for 360 alot lately. It's an awesome game but the idea of a huge space RPG is always sweet. Plus you can be a total jerk to people and end up shooting them in the face if you choose to. That is the kind of control I enjoy in a video game. I also got Mario Galaxy but I haven't really gotten into it yet because of Mass Effect.

What else is new.... So we saw Strange Wilderness last night and it may of been one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Like Jasyn and I almost walked out which is not something we are known to do at all. In fact I've only walked out of one movie and it was because of someone else, which was Waterworld and my ex-step-mom thinking it was sexist for some reason. Really though in a post-Apocalypic world full of water and dudes with gills behind their ears who knows how sexist people will be. That movie would of been alot better if Aquaman ended up saving the day though. Back to Strange Wilderness though, it had some good people in it but really nothing at all was funny in it. The only person who had any funny lines was Jonah Hill probably because all of his seemed made up on the spot.

Tonight though is TV night for us, we got Lost, TNA Impact and Celebrity Rehab so once I get home we have a marathon to go through of high quality television. Lost should be exciting though, there is no telling what kind of wacky adventures they will find on that island. Speaking of TV, I'm halfway through BSG Season 3 which is very exciting, again space adventures kick ass. I think that is the theme of this live journal. So my parting words will be... If you do anything this weekend, go on a space adventure.

Adventures In Portland

  • Dec. 17th, 2007 at 12:42 PM

The journey began like many do with a phone call. Jasyn called me over to help him load the car up while I was eating some delicious string cheese, little did I know a innocent trip would turn into a quest to a land free of sales tax, a land without Christmas, a land right across the border, a land simply called Oregon...

So I headed over to Jasyn's and we loaded the car up with all his gear. From there it was just a quick drive to Kirkland so Courtney could give us a map to our destiny for that fateful Thursday. After that we made a second quick stop for Chalians, where sadly Byron was booted from Team Chalian for his Whooper loving ways. By this time it was clearly past 2:00pm which was a problem since we planned on departing the greater Seattle area by 1:00pm... We were late and we would pay for that dearly.

The road was packed full of people. They didn't seem to have any purpose on the road either, they were just there to get in our way because honestly why would half of the state be on the road at 2:00pm heading South? Was there some sort of an evacuation that we didn't hear about? Was a giant squid coming from the ocean to destroy us? Or were they just trying to make Jason mad? All I know is that they succeeded with the last one. After a lot of driving under 40 miles per hour we got to Lacey to hit the bathroom inside Starbucks, which I went in second after Jason who dropped a bomb in there. So we got ourselves all jacked up on coffee and headed out once again. Then we just drove, listening to a bit of "California Love" as well as the new hit "Nite-Runner" which made the trip a bit more jolly. Then we crossed the bridge into Portland. After a quick drive through the city we got off on the Couch St. exit and drove around in a huge circle until we could the Fez Lounge.

We then carried the gear upstairs and realized we never got Christmas lights for the keyboard stands. Ashley and I were sent out on to the streets to find Christmas lights. We went to grocery stores, drug stores and every other place and nobody had them. It was as if Portland hates Christmas. Sadly we had to walk back in to the club in shame just as the sound check was finished.

Then Derek, the promoter dude, came out and swept us off our feet to a Fish Grotto for dinner. Now you have to be a bit nervous about any place with Grotto in the title but it turned out to be some fancy place. After eating some odd things like squid and deviled eggs I got some good Jumbo Coconut Prawns and some garlic fries... Not too shabby for a Fish Grotto.

Then we were back to the club where Jason and Byron had to prepare and I just pretty much hung out as they got ready. After some fun photos taken (which I'll try to add to this later) they had to go up to their adoring fans. After a quick tutorial on the video camera by Byron they got on stage to rock. This whole time I was busy wandering around filming it all, which at times looked less then amazing due to the amount of people there. Then after the show this one weird chick hit on Byron by talking to Ashley, his girlfriend, then hit on me and then asked Jason if he broke up with Courtney so she could hit on him too. It's crazy how bad she wanted some action.

Also while I was filming this weird guy with a beard followed me and kept making weird comments about how good it looked. It was quite odd but I kept on filming because it was my duty.

After Jasyn and Byron were done being celebrities with all their fans we jumped into the car and drove off. We made a quick stop for McDonalds and I got overly excited about 2 Pies for $.99 for some reason. Then after a bit more driving we needed gas and stopped at a gas station that had a machine in the bathroom that would spray you with cologne which seemed kind of gross to me. Then after a bit more driving we dropped of Byron and then arrived back at Salmon Run around 5:30am. After a bit of going on the net I was off to bed to have to wake up at 11am for work. Of course Jasyn and I are lazy so we skipped the first two hours of work and slept in instead.

Yesterday was the 15th Anniversary of Raw is War, which Jason, Courtney, Tommy and myself. It was a decent show, some of the highlights were apperances by Rob Van Dam even if he did destroy Santino, Steve Blackman the favorite wrestler of a certain Matt Dryden and a decent ladder match with Carlito actually doing something decent for a change.

Besides that work has been slow as ever. Of course there have been tons of decorating. So it's not bad to work when all you are doing is hanging Christmas lights from the ceiling or wrapping a manager's cube in wrapping paper. Work has become amazingly better since me and Jasyn are allowed to pretty much get away with most anything we can please.

Now it is the weekend though which will include a trip to Portland to see Jasyn and the God Modules perform in front of some Oregonians on Thursday. Should be a fun little road trip, sadly Jasyn has to work during it though so it may not be as much of a just fun road trip for him.

We also came up with this weird plan to fly/drive to Las Vegas in Februray to go to No Way Out and then come back right after. Of course we'd have a great time in Vegas so we'll see how many people would be intrested and how much tickets would be. Anyone want to meet us there?

Good Friends, Great Memories

  • Dec. 8th, 2007 at 5:34 PM

So the year of 2007 is coming to a close and it has been quite a crazy year. Lots of good times and some not so good ones too but mostly good ones from what I remember or maybe I just refuse to remember bad times, it is easier that way. So highlights of 2007:

Special K - It was awesome to have Kyle fly out here April for a week to go to the comic con and hang out. It was great seeing him again and hopefully he'll do it again next year or he'll find us at...

San Diego ComicCon - This was a blast, got to see alot of school pals like Brian, Dean, Kevin, beautiful John Lowe, Megan, Hamilton (who I didn't really know in school but he had a nice beard in San Diego,) Rich and alot of other fine fellows. Also got some amazing French comics as well as getting to walk right next to Sgt. Slaughter down the street. And don't forget the free stuff, I came home with 14 free t-shirts! I'm totally looking forward to going again next year and I hope all the same peeps can make it there too and then some extras.

New Pals - Getting to know alot of new people better this year was alot of fun too, mainly Jasyn, Courtney and Byron. It's crazy to met such cool people by working at such an awful job. Getting to see those folks play live and hanging out has probably made this year pretty darn good in my mind even though nothing too crazy happened. Plus it has caused many amazing moments such as fishing, many movies, love for Lex Luthor, alot of watching of wrestling. Of course there were a few other cool new people too like Kelly, Ashley and Sara.

New Apartment - Sean Legg and I finally got our apartment together in Salmon Run, on the first floor like we wanted. It's way better then living at home and it's fun to live with Sean when he actually is around and not off saving lives.... Whenever my life is in danger by a giant unstoppable monster I always seem to fall down and get knocked out and then Sean Legg is there, I wonder if he is Superman, nah, not that goofy Sean Legg!

There were a few bad times and some crazy drama that is never needed but we don't need to get into that here. The rest of this year gets a Christmas party, my dad coming up for a few days, a few exciting movies still to come too. Then there is the dreaded 2008, which will hopefully see some Longinus, Orangutan Mountain, Return to ComicCon, a visit from Brian Muelhopht, the arrival of Gage to Seattle and many other exciting moments!

Winter Blizzard Storm '07

  • Dec. 1st, 2007 at 8:47 PM

It totally snowed today. I went into work for just a few hours and almost as soon as I started the snow began. I was helping the High School team so they went nuts for it. Then I ran home, got my brother a birthday gift and went out to eat with my family which by then we thought it was over but while eating we got like an extra inch or two. Anyways it's always fun when it snows the first time and at least it won't take me three hours to go home in the snow like last year since I live like two minutes from work now. Yay snow!

Arrows, Drama and Longinus

  • Dec. 1st, 2007 at 3:13 AM

The Longinus?! That's right folks he's going to be coming back big time.

In other news today was a enjoyable day, I barely worked at all and mostly just goofed off at work. Wrapped my manager's cub in wrapping paper with some nice lights around it. It's amazing how much me and Jason can get away with at that place.

In other news, Jason and I just started watching Smallville Season 6 with the charming Green Arrow on it, we only watch that between random movies and TV. Some of our latest ones are like The Return to House on Haunted Hill, The Return, Me, You and Dupree and of course everyones' favorite late night treat, Cathouse. You gotta love any reality show about whores.

Speaking of movies. It seemed like nothing was coming out for a bit but finally a few things I wanted to see popped up. Lately we've seen:

No Country for Old Men (Bad ass movie, classic Coen style with an amazing villian)
Southland Tales (Weird movie with alot of good bits in it but the only thing that could of saved it was The Rock and Buffy doing it which they didn't show us)
The Mist (Way better then I thought it would be. It's always good to be surprised from a movie)
Hitman (Just boring and like everything else)

For now though nothing is coming out for awhile then on like November 21st everything explodes with 3 exciting movies in one day, Sweeny Todd, Walk Hard and of course Big Brian's feature film National Treasure 2! Everybody better see that last one to support our boy!

Also there has been some strange things afoot here in Salmon Run due to Sean Legg but soon it will all be sorted out. We do not need drama over here in D104 in fact we try to avoid it which is why we like house guests like Willie not troublesome women who scream and weep. This weekend at least has a Match of 10,000 Tacks as well as some Bone Fish Grill for my mom's birthday but I know the whole time I'll want to scream "Bone Fish is ready!"

That was my bi-yearly update on Livejournal!

Memorial Day

  • May. 28th, 2007 at 3:30 PM

I'm here at work because for some reason I signed up for overtime... Now I know it is shocking that I would ever do that and I'm confused by it as well. One the up side though I've been sitting here for an hour and a half and I've taken two calls both which lasted ten minutes total. So getting paid double time and a half for ten minutes of work?! Not a bad deal. It's too bad Jasyn isn't here though he would appreciate the slowness of it all. It is like it used to be in the old days of Cingular Business Care.

After work here I'm going off to bardeque some meats. I'm not sure who all is showing up or what we are going to cook but it should be good times. Plus I can show off Narf's Pleasure Dome to everyone too. (Narf is my hedgehog for those who are not aware.) Maybe we can play some Wii too or if I can find it in the garage pull out the croquet set to be old school. It is a sport of gentleman too so you can't really go wrong with it. I think Tommy and I should wear sweatervests while we play too. How did sweatervests ever go out of style? They keep your chest warm and have sweet patterns on them. If I started wearing one though it would confuse people since I'd look like a hippie/preppy guy.

Now what else has been going on, I do have two more hours of work so I can ramble on a bit more. The Lost season finale was awesome. It had alot of twists and turns. Plus it was full of death which is always a good feature on a television show. I missed Impact though to watch Pirates so I haven't watched much wrestling lately. Pretty much Lost is all I watch since Top Chef isn't on. I've been watching Venture Bros. on DVD which is an amazing show plus I'm going to start Battlestar next.

Now our summer movies have been alright so far but not too amazing. We've had four summer movies by my count that have been pretty big and all of them were sequels, three of which were the third installment of a series. First off was Spider-Man 3 which was a decent movie but didn't live up to the other ones. I think it was awesome how Sandman was a intresting character. You actually had a reason to care about him but on the other side Venom was boring and not as badass as he should be. He is like the anti-Spider-Man not some chump. If they do make another one the bad guys should so be Lizard and Kraven the Hunter.

After Spider-Man 3 I saw Shrek the Third. Which was just more of the same. Nothing special really, it had a few good moments but overall I wasn't amazing. It was just something to watch. They need to stop making these and Mike Meyers should go back to make good movies and Eddie Murphy can pick up Ladies of the Night.

Then we saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End or POTC: AWE which is a much better name. I liked the movie alot, it was a good ending to the trilogy and had alot of pirate fun in it. Geoffery Rush is amazing as a pirate too and if they make a new one it should just be his movie. I don't know if it was better then the second one or not but it was close.

Then yesterday I watched 28 Weeks Later, which kicked butt. Lots of crazy zombie action, blood, gore and killing. Out of all the summer movies it was the only one to be better then I thought it might be. Even though it was better then I thought I don't know if that makes it better then the other ones though. I think if I were to make a list so far it'd be a little something like this:

1. Spider-Man 3
2. 28 Weeks Later
3. POTC: AWE
4. Shrek the Third

But that is for now I may change my mind in five minutes. If you asked me earlier I might of put 28 Weeks first since it kicked ass. The next ones coming up that I wanna see are Knocked Up, Ocean's Thirteen (even if the second one sucked this still looks fun) and of course Hostel: Part Two. Thats just for the next two weeks too so I'm sure this summer will be a busy time for midnight showings. With Lost gone for awhile too I'm going to need to do something to watch.

On the video game front I got a Wii recently which is really fun. I don't have alot of games yet but they are all fun to play so far even if SSX was disappointing. I think I'll pick up Mario Party 8 tomorrow for it too but it'll be sad to not have Pedro and Brian kicking everyone's butt on it. Besides that I still play Guitar Hero from time to time and WoW has been ignored alot lately. Well that is all I feel like typing for now... So goodbye!

Fuck it.
